"The Dust Bowl:  A Personal Memory and Local Effects" presentation at library on Sat., Jan. 18th, 2:00

Rochel Karlson, local history buff, has pulled together some fascinating, little-known facts about the Dust Bowl that happened during the Great Depression, including its effect on Midwestern farmers.   The presentation includes video, music, photo displays, and a personal memory from Norma Welty, former resident and teacher, who experienced it with her family.  Norma has written a book about this which will be available for signing as well.   Come see this famous historical event brought to life!
