State of Surveillance program, 6:30pm

       The State of Surveillance
Come hear fascinating information from former Milwaukee  police officer Mitchell Nevin  as he shows what he’s learned about government and corporate surveillance techniques and the struggle today to balance our right to privacy with the need for security.  Mr. Nevin, now in Minneapolis, will help us know the laws on information gathering and how we can protect our privacy online and over the air.   Nevins also writes crime novels, including his book  Psychic Reprieve, set in Eau Claire.  As a Milwaukee officer he monitored crime in groups such as bikers and the occult.  Refreshments served.
