Quilt Program cancelled

CANCELLED by PRESENTER DUE TO BAD WEATHER FOR HER TRAVEL

Bev Proulx, quilt expert and popular speaker, will give a FREE program featuring many different quilts of various eras and styles.  Her topic is:   "An Eye for Color: How quilters have used color over the past 200 years".

She will also be available for optional afternoon sessions of appraising quilt value if people are interested in making appointments with her ($45 per session).  The reasons people might want an heirloom, antique, or new quilt appraised include:     to establish a replacement value for insurance purposes before a loss due to fire or flood;  to determine a fair market value for sale of the quilt; to determine value for donation, gift, or estate purposes as required by the IRS; to provide insurance coverage while your quilt is at an exhibit or competition or being shipped; and just to learn more about the quality and history of a quilt.   Please call the library to reserve an appraisal spot at 715-684-3813 if you are interested.  The opening program is free.

In addition to presentations and classes, Bev runs Bev's Quilt Appraisal in North Branch, MN.
