Friends of the Library meeting

Summer Reading June 1

National Children's Book Week, April 30 - May 5

Come in any time this week and have your child enter their name in a drawing for some big stuffed animals.  Also make a poster about your favorite book, character, or what you like about libraries, and bring it back to hang on our wall!

"Everything Laura Ingalls Wilder Left Out of Her Novels" 7:00pm

Talk by guest speaker Shelley Tougas, Laura Ingalls Wilder researcher and author of the Wisconsin award-winning book Laura Ingalls is Ruining my Life, enjoyed by middle-schoolers through adults.

She will tell of interesting things she's learned about the reality of life in Laura's time, what might be different from the books, and what was really going on in those small prairie towns.

Talk is designed for adults and older teens more than for children.
