News and Events:
NEW FLOORING AND PAINT AT BALDWIN PUBLIC LIBRARY !
Our library is in need if some TLC (tender loving care)! Our carpet is now 13 years old and showing it's age with various bumps, stains and oh so worn patches. We will be closing our doors for our flooring upgrade at 5 PM ON AUGUST 21ST AND WILL REOPEN AT 10 AM SEPTEMBER 1ST! That IS a long time and we will miss you, but we hope our new look will be worth the wait. OUR DROP BOX IS CLOSED DURING THIS TIME AS WELL, so if you have an urgent need to return library materials, you will need to drop them at one of our neighboring MORE libraries (Woodville Community Library and Hammond Library are closest). Renewals can be requested online or using the renewal request line, 1-866-MYRENEW. Any hold items you are waiting for that are shipped will stay safely in a box and can be picked up once we are open.
For our regular computer users, any neighboring MORE library will have patron stations you could use. Our wireless will not be available either, unfortunately. Woodville Community Library, McDonalds, and Hazelnut Tree coffee shop all have wireless access. Hazelnut Tree does require a purchase.
We have made a valiant effort to get the word out about this temporary closure, and hope we will not inconvenience anyone too much. If you are seeing this notice for the first time, we apologize and hope you will come see us when we reopen on September 1st! Thank you for your patience!
The Baldwin Library Staff
FREE MOVIE NIGHTS! The Friends of the Baldwin Library are sponsoring an exciting new activity for this year, a series of feature films presented at the library for free! The group purchased a licensing fee so that we can show most popular films recently in theaters, without charging admission.
